This position is responsible for analyzing multiple data sources; providing actionable insights that advise strategic planning processes and sales execution. This includes in-depth analyses of priority categories, segments and customers. This role will collaborate with Customer Development managers to deliver data driven insights that empower more informed, tactical decisions. This role will be instrumental in driving data strategy for the business unit; leading best practice standards for the effective and consistent use of data across a multitude of cross functional teams.

Principal Accountabilities

• Advises strategic planning processes including Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Annual Operating Planning (AOP) through in-depth analysis of priority categories, segments and customers
• Execute and enhance the architecture of tools necessary to complete strategic planning processes including AOP/IBP templates
• Develops actionable, customized data tools and insights for sales; identifying challenges and opportunities across multiple sales channels
• Supports Customer Development Managers in leveraging data to support the construction of sales execution plans
• Provides recommendations on promotional & trade strategies through ROI analysis
• Manages tactical, ad hoc reporting requests including stocking matrices, customer meeting support, and various other day to day sales reporting needs
• Responsible for determining the data needs of the organization; advising the Operations and Reporting team on the development of standardized reporting tools
• Subject matter expert on all data systems including internal and external sources

• Utilizes several systems, internal and external, to provide insights.
• Ability to manipulate, normalize and organize large, complex data sources
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze data from multiple, unrelated sources
• Ability to operate as part of a highly collaborative and cross-functional team
• Draw compelling stories from data; explaining complex analyses to a non-technical audience
• Adaptable to changing priorities based on the needs of the business

Job Specifications

• Minimum education required: Bachelor’s Degree, 0-3 years of related experience
• Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
o Exceptional analytical skills
o Advanced proficiency in Excel
o Ability to multi-task and manage short timelines
o Strong communication and presentation skills
o Creative problem solving
o Proficiency in data visualization
