<p><strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">The Role and Responsibilities </span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Client Finance has an experienced State Tax Manager position available at its corporate headquarters located in Wilmington, DE. This position is a key role within the tax organization that will have the opportunity to manage the state tax operations of the Company and provide technical oversight and guidance on state tax matters impacting the Company.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;"><strong><u>Your Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Partner across the Corporate Tax function and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance, minimize risk and support business goals and objectives</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Pro-actively identify and lead state tax planning projects</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Manage state and local controversy</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Provide technical support on state tax positions impacting compliance and provision</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Provide tax advice on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and corporate restructuring</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Partner with the businesses to assess state tax implications of new initiatives and business changes</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Monitor the impact of state and local legislation</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support senior Tax management in tax department initiatives, including training/development programs and process improvement projects</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;"><strong><u>Your Qualification Profile:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">CPA or JD required</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Masters in Taxation or L.L.M. is preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">10+ years of relevant tax experience in a Big 4/regional accounting firm and/or corporate tax department with an emphasis on state and local taxes</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Knowledge of applicable state and local tax laws and regulations</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Highly efficient, organized, reliable, and resourceful professional with practical experience and ability to understand process and implement change</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Ability to perform complex tax research and analysis and effectively communicate results in the form of discussion, presentation, or technical memorandum</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Hybrid working is available for this role.
