We open doors in the regenerative medicine industry for those looking to transform medicine while continuously improving an innovative, growing company.</p> <p>The <strong>Strategic Sourcing Manager </strong>is responsible for developing and executing the sourcing and procurement strategy for incoming materials and services including those to support manufacturing, MSAT, Facilities and Engineering and Quality Control. The manager will partner with stakeholders across the business to generate savings and value. Responsibilities includes sourcing, competitive bidding, risk mitigation, supplier performance management, negotiating supply contracts, and building and managing supplier commercial relationships. The Strategic Sourcing Manager must be a change agent and an advisor to business partners, adding value by introducing new approaches, performing and leveraging spend analytics to identify opportunities, and leading cross functional execution of initiatives.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute category plans and sourcing and risk mitigation strategies</li> <li>Build and maintain internal and external supplier/vendor relationships</li> <li>Perform supply market analysis and continuously monitor market conditions, trends, and activity</li> <li>Source new vendors in support of business needs and procurement category strategy</li> <li>Manage requests for information, quotations, proposals, and the bidding process</li> <li>Work with subject matter experts to create specifications and statements of work attached to RFPs</li> <li>Facilitate supplier selection in accordance with company policy</li> <li>Negotiate supply contracts to include pricing and business terms and conditions</li> <li>Lead evaluation of potential suppliers in partnership with QA/Operations and relevant business partners</li> <li>Provide subject matter expertise to support business needs</li> <li>Partner with suppliers on vendor managed inventory</li> <li>Identify and drive implementation of efficiencies, cost savings, and risk mitigation opportunities</li> <li>Utilize problem solving as well as strategic sourcing skills to assure continuity of supply, mitigate risk and collaborate cross functionally to resolve any supplier issues</li> <li>Leverage supply market knowledge to source suppliers for innovation and drive business growth and profitability</li> <li>Focus on cost reduction, cost avoidance, and strong supplier relationships</li> <li>Support and/or lead vendor transitions</li> <li>Facilitate cross functional supplier business review meetings</li> <li>Mitigate all elements of supply risk</li> <li>Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 7 to 10 years of strategic sourcing and category management experience</li> <li>5+ years industry experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device manufacturing is preferred</li> <li>BA/BS degree in chemistry, biology, engineering or related field, preferred</li> <li>Procurement or related certifications a plus (ISM, CPSM, CPIM, PMP)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with Procurement systems</li> <li>Superior Excel and Microsoft Office Application skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong skills and experience in strategic sourcing, category management, price and contract negotiations</li> <li>Superior skills with Microsoft Office applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with sourcing and procurement systems</li> <li>Goal oriented with strong drive for results </li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain internal and external relationships</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence without direct authority</li> <li>Familiarity with 7 step sourcing process. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Seating is mixed and includes open space seating, cubicle, and office space.
