THIS POSITION is for First SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Basic Job Description:
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
- Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.
- Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
- Develops and recommends corrective actions.
- May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree with 9 years of IT experience.
- Master's degree and 7 years of IT experience.
- PhD with 4 years of IT experience.
Special Requirements:
- Performs the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a solution architecture
- Develops the solutions viewpoint, in which the business, information and technology viewpoints are synthesized into solutions that deliver capabilities to the enterprise
- Assists in defining the principles to guide solution decisions for the enterprise
- Helps define the principles to guide solution decisions for the enterprise
- Why is this position open / needed? These positions will support the solutions architecture team in developing solution designs, architectural guidance and long term direction for our solution space.
Other Details-
- This position will have the opportunity for partial remote work. This person MUST be able to come onsite at client location in Newport News for meetings.
- Clearance is NOT required.
- This person will have to drive personal vehicle to meetings onsite at client location in Newport News.
