<p>The Systems Engineer role is responsible for providing technical support for various applications and systems within Client's production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments. The role will implement all aspects of the operating procedures within a predefined shift pattern. This role works closely with our Infrastructure teams and our internal and external business clients to resolve and raise technical support incidents where vital.</p> <p>Your Responsibilities</p> <p>Support Client applications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for Client's production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments</p> <p>Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and critical issue; Perform level 1 and 2 support for Mainview MQ & CICS products</p> <p>Provide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required; anticipate in disaster recovery tests (on weekends); Coordinate weekend activities for testing and installation of all system and application hardware and software changes.</p> <p>Provide access administration for application access to Client's various production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments and applications</p> <p>Provide lead management support in maintaining the host operating system on Mainframe, UNIX, and Windows environments</p> <p>Provide oversight on IPLs, console activity and HMC activity</p> <p>Provide support and assistance with autosys jobs/boxes, mainframe scheduling activities and auto operator commands on UNIX/LINUX servers</p> <p>Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures</p> <p>Contribute to projects by performing task work you're doing and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met.</p> <p>Provide support for organizational change approval, execution for Client's data center services</p> <p>Support automation by making recommendations for optimizing and streamlining daily functions and daily batch cycles.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum of 4 years of related experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience</p> <p>IBM z/OS, JES2, MVS</p> <p>IPLs using HMC</p> <p>CA1/7/11/CA Scheduler and JCL</p> <p>Distributed Autosys VTAM, NETVIEW, TSO/ISPF and Service now</p> <p>Alert management using Service Now and Splunk dashboards</p> <p>Windows, UNIX & LINUX OS, a plus</p> <p>Solid background in large-scale, multi-sysplex environments</p> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Software Product suites (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)</p>
