Product Safety Systems & Data Specialist

JOB DIMENSIONS

• Provides data management and administration support to Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs staff related to SAP EHS modules, Arkema regulatory labeling systems, rules packages and data provided by third parties. Performs specified assignments and tasks according to direction by Supervisor.
ACTIVITIES
? Data entry/verification in SAP EHS
? Data maintenance and troubleshooting of EHS SAP module (CAS#s, Raw materials, DG data, Ariel, etc)
? Data maintenance and troubleshooting of Arkema label systems
? Support for Arkema PS&RA process workflows. Including integration testing and system testing.
? Support acquisition and divestiture projects related to SAP EHS module, including integrations .
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• The incumbent must be able to independently organize and complete assigned projects with minimum direct supervision, ensure the delivery of good results through the ability to influence and gain the cooperation of others, and work well in team situations to achieve the compliance and quality goals of the corporation while keeping in mind the business priorities and resource constraints.
• The PS/RA staff utilizes a variety of electronic data systems to organize, store, retrieve, and report information and documents regarding chemicals, issues, regulations and products of interest to the company. Accuracy in all aspects of the process is essential. He or she makes recommendations and provides creative solutions to influence changes in current procedures or work practices or adapting current practices to use new or more efficient tools.
• The position operates in an office environment where high activity levels and multiple ongoing projects are the norm. Priorities will be set by management; however, daily organization, flexibility, and the ability to recognize and respond to urgent business requests are necessary characteristics of the incumbent.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Two critical aspects of the position are data integrity and confidentiality. In addition, appropriate use of company equipment and resources is expected.

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System or a related field of study. 1-3 years relevant industry experience, understanding of EHS SAP to achieve defined business requirements for Environmental, Health & Safety and therefore will require someone with a strong background in SAP as well as EH&S experience
• Good understanding of electronic database management (Excel, Access, SharePoint, O365 apps, etc.) including data entry, retrieval, accuracy, and reporting.
• Competency in standard office software (i.e., word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation packages)

• Use of standard computer peripherals used for data acquisition, (e.g., a variety of scanners and printers)
• Good listening and organizational skills, technical aptitude, and basic technical writing ability.
