JOB DESCRIPTION :

Job Title Technical Product Owner

Location Remote, Tempe, AZ

Job Type Contract/Temp

Qualifications:

Position starts out remote but will need to work in office after WFH is lifted. The Technical Product Owner will drive and develop the end-to-end strategy for a key strategic initiative with an objective of technology transformation building and migrating key technology platforms and products on the cloud.

The TPO will also ensure timely delivery of capabilities, features and functionality based on the roadmap, company and technology group priorities.

This role will be interacting closely with the program team, CTO office, Infrastructure teams, application development teams and's Product Management team, as well as where needed business users and other key stakeholders.

This role will also be responsible for synthesizing functional and technical requirements and prioritizing user stories, approving features in alignment with agreed upon acceptance criteria, and providing feedback to the team with a strong decision-making mindset.

The role requires a solid leadership skill and you will drive technology transformation and delivery, related products and features delivery from inception until the solution enters production.

A strong engineering and technical leadership background are required to effectively communicate and work with a technical team on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires a good understanding of infrastructure, IaaS, SaaS, Infrastructure as a Code, and related automation.

Responsibilities:

Define, develop, maintain and execute the program and product strategy, roadmap, goals to effectively enable targeted outcomes.

Manage product backlog initiatives, epics, user stories, and cross-product dependencies

Present the roadmap, its progress and reporting to program and bank's leadership and stakeholders.

Provides transparency on results and planning through accurate reporting

Oversee the overall delivery of cloud capabilities as it aligns with business strategies, product vision and roadmap

Serve as the primary interface of the technology leaders and stakeholders with the agile delivery teams

Take ownership for ensuring a prioritized backlog is maintained so each program increment and sprint can be planned clearly and efficiently

Lead customer demos such as design walk-through or solution candidate test-drives

Provide internal and external stakeholders with the appropriate guidance and direction with regards to roadmap priority

Work with Tech Writers and OCM team to assist with communication, training and end-user documentation

Identify and leverage Beta clients to assist with developing and trialing new functionality and solutions

Support ongoing improvement initiatives and opportunities by applying deep understanding of applications, and platform architectures

Navigate through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Ensure stakeholders are kept updated on team goals and product roadmap

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple departments.

Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to serve as a champion for future capabilities needed at.

Partner with product vendor(s) to support upgrades, identify new features needed for the platform and keep internal product roadmap aligned with changing business needs and priorities.

Post on internal social media sites covering topics such as new product/platform features, tips and soliciting input on new capabilities or enhancements Qualifications - External

Skills Required:

O Proven ability to successfully manage product backlog in a fast-paced, product-centric environment 8+ years of relevant experience preferred

O Ability to plan strategy while maintaining the current delivery commitments and priorities

O Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and work well in a team-oriented environment

O Ability to work directly with clients in user forum, round table, or customer outreach sessions

O Demonstrated understanding of Agile/Scrum

O Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills

O Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for a large financial institution, or a product-centric business preferred

O Familiarity with Scrum and SDLC processes a plus.

O Create customer demos such as design walk-through or solution candidate test-drives

O Support ongoing process improvement initiatives by having a deep understanding of application and platform architectures to rationalize use cases

O Navigate through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Ensure stakeholders are kept updated on team goals and product roadmap

O Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments.

O Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to serve as an internal champion for future automation capabilities needed in our organization.

O Partner with product vendor to support upgrades identifies new features needed for the platform and build internal product roadmap aligned with business needs.

O Effective communication skills to present and collaborate with executives and senior leadership Education

O Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

O Formal Product Owner training, such as CSPO, nice-to-have

O AWS Certification(s) is nice to have

O Prior experience as a product owner or solution architect for applications and/or Cloud Platforms preferably AWS

O Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions

O Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of what's most important

O Dash boarding skills and ability to present graphical analysis and intuitive reports on usage and adoption
