  • The Technology Risk Management department is responsible for setting strategic direction in the areas of IT Risk and Information Security. Accountable for maintaining Client's corporate security policies and control standards and acting as an operational arm for monitoring threat intelligence.
  • The (TRM) Metrics & Reporting Team is responsible for communicating the Client technology risk posture to the highest levels of management within the organization including Management and Board level risk committees through the identification, development and reporting of metrics (i.e., key risk indicators, key performance indicators) and other cyber security insights derived from multiple information sources.
  • The Metrics & Reporting team uses extensive knowledge and skills acquired through education, experience, specialized training and/or certification to support the organization's technology risk awareness goals. Seeking a detailed oriented "Grammar Geek".
  • This role is responsible for key operational risk related activities that are performed on behalf of the TRM business line.
  • The ability to be flexible, and focused under pressure, all while managing multiple deliveries within rigid target delivery dates are fundamental skills required to be successful in this role. In addition to possessing core security and technology / risk knowledge, you must be highly organized. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be comfortable presenting to leadership and interacting with senior management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support standard monthly reporting with focus on oversight and final delivery of the written portions of the report, ensuring a high level of quality output.
  • Responsible for writing report content through final product including associated technology risk analysis, summarization of technical concepts into condensed business terminology, information follow-ups, grammar, spelling format, etc.
  • Drive the metrics and reporting program to a greater level of maturity through the performance of technology risk analysis collaborating with various key partners and analyzing documentation in the creation of new metrics and the maintenance of existing metrics.
  • Support development of new reporting, using thought leadership in new reporting techniques, communication, and report styles.
  • Responsible for performing the Annual Metrics Inventory Review.
  • Responsible for delivering the following Operational Risk services on behalf of the TRM business line: Quarterly Risk Dashboard, Maintenance of Risk Profile Statement (Annual or when there is a pertinent change), and the Annual TRM Operational Risk Assessment.
  • Role is not limited to the responsibilities highlighted above.
  • Partner with business partners across the organization to build and maintain TRM metrics and reports
  • Communicate and summarize sophisticated technical concepts and related risk analysis results to business and technology leaders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years proven experience in technology risk management preferred, cyber security or information security governance is acceptable.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CISSP/CRISC/CISM certification preferred.
  • Experience in the development of metrics (KPI/KRI) and reporting, including report development and visualization.
  • Experience in developing risk profiles and conducting cybersecurity (risk) and technology (risk) assessments.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and style skills; ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and media; a must.
  • Ability to explain and articulate technical concepts using non-technical language.
  • Ability to simplify and condense sophisticated tech concepts from paragraphs into a few sentences and more frequently down to 2 or 3, five-word bullet points.
  • Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.
  • PowerBI, IBM Business Process Management, and/or SQL a plus.
  • Work collaboratively by building consensus and influencing decision making to foster forward progress with projects and initiatives.
  • Flexible coupled with excellent organizational skills
  • Sound business judgment and ability to work successfully with at all levels of leadership
