Duties:
Manage docketing infrastructure to track and advance offensive and defensive conflicts worldwide;
Execute strategy and manage outside counsel in conflict matters;
Draft cease and desist letters and submit online takedowns;
Review international trademark watch notices and perform direct investigations as needed;
Assist in the ongoing development of trademark enforcement and prosecution best practices;
Coordinate with the attorneys in preparing and filing trademark applications;
Directly handle prosecution worldwide, including gathering evidence, responding to Office Actions, and registering/renewing trademarks;
Manage record-keeping of trademark prosecution and enforcement files and emails;
Perform trademark searches and help advise on the availability of new names and logos globally;
Maintain outside counsel and vendor spend reports and track overall budget; and
Assist with IP litigation.
Skills:
At least 6 years (8 preferred) of trademark paralegal experience. At least 4 years of technology-based in-house practice preferred
A solid understanding of worldwide trademark enforcement and prosecution strategies
Proficiency with use of the USPTO’s online filing systems
An understanding of and experience with IP docket maintenance
The ability to work with team members at all levels, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
The ability to be a great, supportive teammate and help achieve corporate team goals
Good communication skills
A passion for technology
The ability to work independently
Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail
Education:


A B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent practical experience
