Group Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group is responsible for the overall financial management of our company. This includes accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate investments and tax

 

Global Financial Control (GFC) is responsible for managing and executing consolidated financial and legal entity reporting; interpreting and applying accounting policy and standards; overseeing financial controls and operational risk assessments; managing and maintaining financial data and systems; managing general ledger and sub‐ledger accounting; and supporting tax activities. In short, our focus in GFC is to get the numbers right and to work in support of the company's goals, most importantly responsible growth.

 

Global Tax Policy (GTP) manages tax risk for the enterprise, determines tax strategy, advises on tax consequences of business transactions and structures, manages external tax audit and controversy processes and manages income tax accounting and compliance activities outside of the U.S.

 

Job Description

The Tax Advisor will assist the Global Head of Transfer Pricing ("TP") with management of the in-house global Transfer Pricing function, including (but not limited to):

  • Reviewing the output of existing governance routines and data sources to ensure timely identification of new intercompany relationships
  • Design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of TP methodologies
  • Management and attendance at governance routines
  • Liaison with key internal stakeholders
  • Policing all aspects of the TP Policy
  • Assist EY with coordination and smooth running of TP documentation exercises
  • Dealing with external auditors, tax authority audit queries or regulatory investigations

The candidate must be able to manage several projects at one time and engage with senior individuals in business and support functions. An energy to learn about the Company's businesses and manage tax risk effectively and efficiently are required, as well as, strong written and oral communication skills. Both an independent working bias and an ability to operate within cross-functional teams are also important.

 

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of US Transfer Pricing Regulations and OECD Guidelines
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • 4+ years' experience in law firm, accounting firm or financial services corporate tax department
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills. The role involves frequent communication with other internal and external stakeholder.

 

Desired Skills

  • At least intermediate-level proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Strong upward management skills
  • Working knowledge of international (non-US) tax systems
  • Effective influencer
