Job Title: Translational Research Scientist (Contractor)

Location: Kenilworth, NJ

Duration: 23 months

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA/MS or PhD in a life sciences discipline or Chemistry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in histopathology-based assay development and validation
  • Basic level of understanding in clinical biomarkers

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in clinical development or managing the implementation of immunohistochemistry-based biomarker assays
  • Basic knowledge of drug development process and translational medicine
  • Prior experience in oncology and immuno-oncology
  • Experience with regulated clinical bioanalysis
  • Experience in multiplex tissue-based spatial profiling assays
  • Hands-on experience on acquisition and analysis of singleplex/multiplex tissue-based assay images and single cell level high-dimensional data generation/analysis
  • Experience with image acquisition platforms and digital image analysis of histopathological samples
  • Knowledge of using statistical software packages

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an expert in tissue-based assay development and validation for clinical trials
  • Assist in the transition of biomarker assays from Discovery Research to Clinical Development
  • Help deploy histopathology-based assays at external vendors for supporting clinical trials
  • Interface with scientists and physicians in early and late-stage clinical development to help execute on biomarker strategies in clinical trials
  • Write memos, final reports and publications summarizing data, and writing/updating lab SOPs
