Unit: Operating Room Specialty: Surg Tech Location: Mercy NW Arkansas Community/Campus: Central Shift: Days, 4x10Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.
General CommentsQualifications Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of Surgical Technology Program, LPN program, or comparable job education Licensure: Current LPN license in state of Arkansas if LPN graduate (vs.
CST) Certifications: Current BLS Certification.
Other: Basic computer knowledge.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the Operating RoomPreferred Certifications: Surgical Technology certification highly preferred Preferred Other: Additional languages desirable.
