We are Looking for Data Analyst III for our Top oil & Gas Client.

 

Job Title: Data Analyst III

Location: Houston (Onsite)

Duration: 7+ months

 

Client is one of the world's leading energy companies, with approximately 60,000 employees working in countries around the world. We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources, including biofuels and geothermal energy.

Job Summary:

  • The main function of a database analyst/programmer is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.
  • A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

Skills: 

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Knowledge of database management software.

Education/Experience: 

  • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.

Additional Notes:

  • Prepare business unit data for ingestion to Modern data warehouse through supporting data management, data mapping, and data modeling activities.
  • Play a key work flow management & communications role between our team, IT BUDM team, Digital Platform teams & the Business.
  • Provide oversight and help troubleshoot data quality and integrity during BU Modernization.
