CorTech International is currently hiring Certified MIG Welders for a well-known and very successful industrial supplier in Paris, KY! These positions have the ability to convert into a permanent position and are available for immediate start dates so APPLY NOW!
As a Welder you will produce a variety of steel parts by welding various components together as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency in the production process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Weld steel parts as specified by print, layout, diagram, work order or oral instructions and per quality standards.
• Perform highly repetitive types of welding operations.
• Set up jigs, read tape measure and steel gauges.
• Perform minor maintenance on machines and guns.
• Operate abrasive saw, hand grinder, and other small hand tools.
• Notify management of issues or concerns in a timely manner (e.g. machine malfunctions, raw material not available, defective steel, inability to meet required schedule, safety concerns/hazards, etc).
• Operate basic fabrication machinery occasionally when needed.
• Suggests improvements to promote quality, increase production, and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow safety rules, procedures and requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Must have MIG welding experience
• fabrication experience in a shop or field
• Ability to visually read print layouts, work orders, production schedules, tape measures, gauges, and inspect tools, machinery, and parts.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Must have manual dexterity in both hands and the ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds occasionally.
