<div> <p>Responsible for all shipping and warehousing activities for the organization.</p> <ul> <li>Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing offsite warehouse shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current</li> <li>Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities of offsite warehouse other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing</li> <li>Organizes, and participates with physical inventory</li> <li>Contracts with shipping vendors, establishes new warehouse locations as needed; manage vendors for warehouse locations</li> <li>Supervises and coordinates activities of teammates engaged in verifying and keeping records of offsite warehouse incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment</li> <li>Reviews pick tickets, bills of lading, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules</li> <li>Reviews freight bills for accuracy and compliance to corporate shipping policies</li> <li>Liaison to freight carriers regarding rates and discounts. Puts together bid package for LTL and FTL</li> <li>Maintain special handing files for accounts with specific shipping and labeling instructions</li> <li>Determines, and uses, wherever possible, the most economical means of shipment</li> <li>Interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety regulations; Supervises all teammate annual reviews, recruits, and manages progressive corrective action for teammates when required</li> <li>Certified forklift trainer for BAU</li> <li>Participates in planning teammate safety and plant protection activities</li> <li>Manages flow of raw material to production (casings) based on customer demand and budget to ensure correct flow of inventory to outside warehouses to maintain healthy stock levels</li> <li>Targets slow moving inventory (casings, FG, and NT) for possible sale or scrap to ensure proper inventory levels based on current demand</li> <li>Continuous audit of inventory levels to target possible future shortages and make arrangements to correct future shortages in a timely manner</li> <li>Monthly allocations of NT production from BS Japan to outside warehouses to ensure timely delivery and reduce transportation costs</li> </ul> </div>
