Basic Functions and Scope
The Encapsulator is responsible for operating two to three encapsulation machines. He/She is expected to help those around him in order to minimize production and maximize output. MUST HAVE STEEL TOE BOOTS
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all in-process quality checks
Fill and shell weights
Seal checks
Quality Measurements
Size verifications
Print quality
Troubleshooting and problem solving both machine and quality issues.
Perform all mechanical adjustments needed to machinery using provided hand tools.
Operate the encapsulation machine printer.
Perform product and batch changes.
Follow standard operating procedures as per job function.
Spread capsules onto the drying trays.
Move full and empty racks to identified areas.
Ensure execution and completion of all necessary paperwork
Ensure safety and cleanliness of the immediate work area, department, and the entire facility.
Must have the ability to visually recognize and sort sub-standard products per encapsulation standards.
Visually recognize and sort sub-standard products per capsulation standards.
Apply the methods and processes of the company and ensure compliance, including the health and safety procedures.
Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
Basic computer skills
Functional Bilingualism (French and English)
Basic mathematics skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Intermediate reasoning skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
