JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes and maximize warehouse productivity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising warehouse employees and coordinating inbound and outbound logistic processes.
To be successful in this role you should be experienced in optimizing warehouse processes, be an effective team leader, be dependable and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse staff and day-to-day activities at warehouse
  • Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity
  • Assist in keeping inventory levels minimized while maintaining adequate weeks of supply for each SKU
  • Monitor and update daily warehouse KPI's
  • Create an engaged team environment
  • Manage warehouse with safety and efficiency as priorities
  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring and training new warehouse employees
  • Oversees pick/pack, inbound and outbound activities to insure the highest quality, accuracy, efficiency and maximum output
  • Schedule safety inspections of warehouse material and equipment for potential defects due to standard usage
  • Maintain good housekeeping in area & adhere to established company safety policies at all times
  • Ensure the maintenance and efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all work performed
  • Responsible for adherence & execution of standardized procedures
  • Be "hands on" to assist with various warehouse responsibilities
  • Ensure deadlines are met daily and manage time as to coordinate workload
  • Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals
  • Planning warehouse monthly inventory audits
  • Train and supervise a staff of warehouse personnel
  • Manage inventory levels of all warehouse materials and equipment
  • Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Other duties as requested

Requirements & Skills

  • Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management principles
  • Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
  • Degree in business administration, management or logistics or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Previous experience in WMS systems required
  • Proficient in MS Office (intermediate to advanced excel required) and Google Docs as well as basic math skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability make effective decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in driving improvements, process optimization and procedure development
  • Taking ownership of your business and ensuring the highest standards of safety, productivity, and customer service are exceeded every day
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to perform the same work duties as those supervised or performs more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity & be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
  • Forklift certification and experience preferred
  • Drivers Licence
