Windows/Linux Systems Administrator
Client N.A is seeking a skilled Windows/Linux Systems Administrator to support the organization’s mission-critical Windows/Linux environment. As part of the team of, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems, both in physical and virtual devices. The candidate will be supporting operating systems, storage, virtualization, and HW.
A successful candidate will:
• Provide support to the information technology (IT) day-to-day operations and maintenance
• Help to detect, diagnose, and resolve problems at the OS and application levels
• Assist with system backup and recovery
• Support computer cluster environments, storage, and servers
• Assist with installation of new software, system upgrades, and patches
• Provide timely response and support during scheduled and authorized non-business hours to ensure continuity of services to the Disney environment
• Respond and resolve help-desk tickets
• Respond to customer calls and emails in a professional manner and resolve customer issues
• Participate in the Department’s On-Call Rotation as applicable
• Complete all IT activities following security policies and practices
• Offer process improvement suggestions and assist with designing and implementing solutions as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Recent previous experience in a System Administrator capacity
• 5-8 years’ minimum relevant System Administration work experience
• Experience in configuration management and automation preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Industry and software certifications are desirable
• Must have proven technical skills and demonstrated troubleshooting skills
• Work effectively with minimal direction, take proactive measures as required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Track record of collaboration working in a global team environment with peers, colleagues, and management.
