Yard Laborer Apply
Responsible for assisting with farmerstock drying, bail-out, truck loading/unloading and storage operations. Assist management team with operational activities associated with the storage and buying of farmerstock. Perform and follow all safety procedures outlined in company written procedures. Work cooperatively with management team and co-workers.
Qualifications to be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria: Commitment to client goal of achieving a zero injury culture, understand and follow company procedures, ability to learn and understand necessary quality controls and procedures, excellent oral and written communication skills, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, ability to plan, organize and perform with limited supervision, high School Diploma or equivalent preferred, exhibit prompt and regular attendance.
Able to meet physical requirements of the position, including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces, from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.) lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Willing to work shift with variable start time, weekends and holidays as needed. Willing and able to work overtime as needed during seed and harvest seasons. Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed. Exhibit a professional image at all times, maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
Any of the above tasks may require participating in lock out/tag out or other safe to work procedures, but not before the contract employee has been trained and comprehension verified. Any task requiring these processes will be done under client/Golden Peanut supervision.
Tractor Drivers will need to meet the same qualifications above as well as be able to safely operate tractors while moving peanut wagons, must also have the skills to back peanut wagons into dryer shed locations.
