Job Summary and Description
Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and safety requirements. Assists students and faculty with the proper use of equipment, demonstrates procedures and monitors users in the safe and proper operation of equipment.
This Academic Lab Technician position serves the Division of Health Sciences in supporting operations of its clinical learning laboratories.
Duties include set-up/tear-down of clinical learning exercises, maintaining laboratories and stockrooms, troubleshooting learning technology and computerized simulated patients, and other related duties.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in related field with at least twelve (12) hours in major field of study or a combination of education, training and experience that equates to the required degree.
- One year of related experience.
- Three or more years of related experience preferred.
- Education and/or previous experience in healthcare and/or laboratory management is desired.
- Licenses or certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.
