Academic Research Security Compliance Manager Job Summary The Manager of Research Security is tasked with developing and implementing security protocols to protect sensitive research data and facilities from potential threats. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of security measures and compliance standards to ensure personnel safety and the integrity of research activities. This role will assist in developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal regulations (National Security Presidential Memorandum 33, the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, Export Controls, etc.) and institutional policies, primarily related to Academic Research Security. This role serves as a liaison between academic units, research centers, and administrative offices, including, but not limited to, OIT, OSP, and C.O.I. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This role reports to the GT Director of Academic Research Security and Risk Compliance. Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of the research administration lifecycle and federal research security regulations (e.g., NSPM-33, CMMC). Preferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent. Preferred Experience: 5+ years of experience in research administration, compliance, or a related area; strong organizational skills and diligence; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and departments; experience with project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
