Located on a large private ranch on the outskirts of beautiful Cedar City, Discovery Ranch South is a licensed, accredited residential treatment center for adolescent students.

We are seeking an **Academic Support Assistant** to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing support throughout the school to teachers, students and our administration team. You will help create a positive learning environment that fosters each student's academic growth.

This position involves filling in for academic staff who are absent, helping students who need additional support, assisting with projects as needed and providing backup to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

Your contributions will play a part in addressing not only the emotional needs of our students but also their intellectual and social development, aligning with our holistic approach.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Eligible to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.
• Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment).
• Must provide evidence of completing 48 College Credit Hours OR Associate's Degree OR passing the Praxis ParaPro (within 30 days of employment).
• CPR & 1st Aid certification (training will be provided).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience working with students, preferably in a school or residential setting.
