Paying Agent Specialist (Account Services Specialist)
The Role As a Paying Agent Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and executing the disbursement of funds related to securities transactions, including dividends, interest payments, redemptions, and corporate actions. This position ensures accurate and timely payments to shareholders while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. You will work with both publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with issuers, custodians, banks, shareholders, and internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate payment operations
- Manage, process, and pay dividends and dividend reinvestment plans with precision
- Assist with tax ID verification, shareholder inquiries, and resolving payment discrepancies
- Support IRS-related processes, including tax forms, withholding, and escheatment
- Reconcile payment records, issue checks/ACH/wires, and process other disbursements
- Contribute to continuous improvement in audit and compliance processes
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Excellent organizational, time management, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and systems quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Coachable with enthusiasm for personal and professional growth
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits/balancing) preferred

Location Requirements: Onsite position in Lutz, FL
Hours: M-F 9 am to 5pm EST
