We are seeking an Account Setup Specialist to join our team in Wappingers Falls, NY. This Specialist plays a key role in supporting business operations by managing the setup, maintenance, and accuracy of customer account data within SAP (B1 & S4). This position ensures that all customer records are created and updated efficiently, enabling internal teams to operate effectively and deliver a high-quality customer experience. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
New Account Setup
- Process new customer applications.
- Set up new customer accounts in SAP.
- Coordinate lead distribution to the appropriate Account Managers.
Account Maintenance & Updates
- Maintain and update customer master data in SAP.
- Verify, correct, merge, and clean customer records to ensure data accuracy.
- Process account changes, including billing/shipping updates, tax status updates, and credit term adjustments.
- Upload and maintain resale certificates and compliance documentation.
- Manage credit card information securely in accordance with company policy.
- Send credit term notifications when applicable.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of required documentation.
- Request missing or incomplete information from customers or sales teams.
- Review completed entries for errors or duplication.
- Document new procedures and process updates as needed.
- Support ongoing SAP cleanup and master data integrity initiatives.
- Other duties as needed.
Position Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, positive, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Ability to reliably commute to Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
- US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available.
