Job Title: Accountant - Capital Investment Coordinator
Location: Hodges, South Carolina (Hybrid)
Details: Long term contract (36-months) with opportunity for direct hire, hybrid role
No visa restrictions.
We anticipate a single round of interviews done virtually, there is a possibility for a second round, typically they are done in one.
Job Summary: The Capital Investment Coordinator will participate in capital investment projects, provide daily purchasing support, and engage in monthly financial closing and reporting activities. The role involves creating standard job work and identifying activities that could be redirected to a shared services group.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- Participate in capital investment projects
- Provide daily purchasing support
- Engage in monthly financial closing activities
- Conduct monthly financial reporting activities
Typical Day or Week in the Role:
- Typical task breakdown: Financial analysis for capital projects, submitting major projects for approval, managing POs and spend for projects, month-end closing activities, creating journal entries, accruals, explaining monthly variances, and creating reporting presentations/slides.
- Work environment: Mostly office cubicle, conference room, and occasional visits to the plant floor. Must be onsite at least 3 days a week, but may require 4-5 days at times for non-local resources. Opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week as the business allows.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education & Experience Required: 4-year Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting but Business Management will be considered.
- Top 3 Skills: Ability to work independently and manage one's time, ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed, and ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Additional Technical Skills (Required): Highly skilled with Excel/PowerPoint. Ability to work within deadlines
- Additional Technical Skills (Desired): 3+ years of experience with capital investment analysis, product cost analysis, business proposal analysis, or similar, 3+ years of financial reporting and monthly closing activities, CMA or CPA certified, skilled in Microsoft Access, and skilled with Power BI and other analysis tools. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
