Job Description
Modern-Amenities HoldCoAbout Us

Modern-Amenities HoldCo is a rapidly expanding entrepreneurial holding company operating at the intersection of physical infrastructure, digital innovation, and business enablement. We're in a hyper-growth phase, managing a diverse portfolio of 3-4 thriving operating companies that are reshaping their respective industries:

  • Modern Amenities: A B2B micro market leader serving 10,000+ locations nationwide

  • VendHub: An innovative ecommerce platform empowering vending operators

  • Breakthrough Sales: High-performance in-person sales teams

  • AIMS (AI-Managing Services): A forward-thinking marketing agency leveraging cutting-edge technology

We're in a hyper growth stage with a very healthy financial state. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic, founder-led company during its most exciting growth phase and build the financial infrastructure that will scale us to the next level.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Accountant who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a real impact. This isn't your typical corporate accounting role—you'll have the autonomy to identify problems, implement solutions, and build processes from the ground up across multiple entities. You'll work directly with leadership, including our fractional CFO, and play a critical role in professionalizing our financial operations while maintaining the agility that got us here.

If you're tired of being a cog in a corporate machine and want to see the direct impact of your work while gaining exposure to diverse business models, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Financial Oversight & Quality Control

  • Oversee and review work from our external bookkeeper, ensuring accurate transaction coding and catching errors before they compound across multiple entities

  • Serve as the quality control layer between day-to-day bookkeeping and executive financial reporting

Full-Cycle Accounting Operations

  • Own the complete AP cycle: invoice processing, vendor management, and bill pay across all entities

  • Own the complete AR cycle: invoicing, collections, and customer inquiries

  • Manage intercompany accounting across our holding company structure, ensuring proper eliminations and accurate consolidated reporting

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Lead month-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries

  • Prepare timely, accurate financial statements for each operating entity and consolidated HoldCo reports

  • Collaborate with our fractional CFO on management reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements—you'll have the autonomy to fix what's broken

  • Build scalable accounting processes that can support our continued growth

  • Enhance our QuickBooks Online infrastructure to support multi-entity operations

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in dynamic or multi-entity environments

  • QuickBooks Online proficiency (you should be able to train others)

  • Demonstrated experience with intercompany transactions and multi-entity accounting

  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of processes end-to-end

  • Strong attention to detail with an investigative mindset—you don't just record transactions, you understand them

  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in an environment where processes are still being built

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a growth-stage company or building/improving accounting processes from scratch

  • CPA or CPA candidate

  • Experience supervising bookkeepers or junior accounting staff

  • Familiarity with process documentation and internal controls

  • Growth mindset with aspirations of becoming a Controller as we scale

Why Join Us?
  • Real Impact: Your work directly influences business decisions and company trajectory

  • Autonomy: We trust you to identify problems and implement solutions without bureaucracy

  • Learning: Gain exposure to multiple business models and industries simultaneously

  • Growth: As we scale, you'll scale with us—with clear paths to Controller and beyond

  • Culture: Work with a founder-led team that values entrepreneurial thinking and execution

  • Stability Meets Excitement: We have the financial backing and infrastructure of an established business with the energy and opportunity of a startup

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience)

Plus: Comprehensive benefits package

Location
