Overview Accountant (Full-Time) Location: Daphne, AL Job Type: Salary | Exempt About Us Legacy Hospice is an industry-leading hospice care provider dedicated to delivering the highest level of compassionate care to our patients. Responsibilities Assists with monthly financial statement preparation and month-end close. Reviews and reconciles the company’s fixed assets monthly. Post the bi-weekly and monthly payroll distributions for all company divisions. Scan and log any deposits received via mail and distribute remits to the Billing Department. Oversee the fleet management program and be the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. Assists in the preparation of all balance sheet account reconciliations. Assisting the financial department, other assistants, and the accounting manager as needed. Filing, mailing, and other duties as needed. Maintains patient and organization confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Accounting/Bookkeeping experience required. Accounting/Finance degree preferred. Ability to effectively manage time related to daily tasks. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures. Demonstrates good communications and public relations skills. Effective social interaction and organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently. Demonstrates ability to work in both a team and individual setting.
