YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON-SITE*****Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Primary Responsibilities:Supervise other personnel in the accounting department, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. This includes training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within the accounting team.Manage Accounts Payable for MNI DirectOversee Accounts Receivable, including credit application processing for McCorkle NurseriesAssist with monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accountsOversee, record, and report daily cash movements across multiple bank accountsPrepare assigned monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsServe as the primary for the month-end closing of the General LedgerPrepare and submit monthly sales tax returns for multiple states and multiple locationsGenerate monthly analytical trend reports and complete assigned analytical projectsProvide troubleshooting support for Microsoft Dynamics/BC/HRISAct as a resource to departmental employees, especially in the Manager's absenceAssist with royalty reporting (monthly and quarterly)Manage vehicle tag renewals and local/state business licensesPayroll processing, timekeeping support, and benefit invoice reconciliation to deductionsOther accounting-related tasks as assigned by the ControllerSecondary Responsibilities:Process disbursements and receiptsSupport month-end closing proceduresAssist in monthly journal entries and reconciliation tasksReview financial statements, including Income Statements and Balance SheetsIssue monthly finish statements and assist with quarterly cash forecastsQualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in AccountingMinimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experiencePrevious supervisory/management experience, a plus but not required.Skills and Abilities:Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to manage time-sensitive deadlines and work extended hours when neededProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks; Microsoft Business Central and Paycom experience is a plusStrong analytical skills and attention to detailDeep knowledge of accounting principles, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk managementExperience in implementing and training on accounting software modulesStrategic planning capability in the accounting fieldPhysical Requirement:Ability to travel as neededProlonged periods of sitting, data entry, and occasional lifting (30-50 lbs)Frequent use of telephone, computer, and office equipmentMust have the stamina to work until the job is completed Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
