Job Title: Accountant - Financial Reporting
Job Location: St. Ann, MO (Hybrid)

Overview:
Performs the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, including management reporting, investor and lender reporting, and compilation of other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data. This position is also responsible for weekly/periodic borrowing base calculations and submissions. This position will also assist our senior financial analyst with system administration duties focused on Oracle and Trecs.
Responsibilities
- Prepares in accordance with GAAP and applicable reporting requirements, as required, all monthly, quarterly, annual, and other periodic filings.
- Helps with technical accounting research and presents to leadership for decision-making
- Records journal entries and completes account reconciliations as required
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Functions as secondary financial system administrator for access requests, hierarchy changes, etc.
- Supports implementation and maintenance of compliance program including Sox controls, internal and external audit support
- Supports special projects and initiatives as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field or an equivalent amount of experience is required
- Minimum 2 years of public or private accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting required
- Must be a self-starter who can work well in various situations
- Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Excellent PC and related spreadsheet application, skills, accuracy, and attention to detail critical for the role
- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature manner required
- Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time-sensitive deadlines
- Possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to ~10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods at a desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties
