Location: Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, PA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (Flexible Schedule; In-Person Only) Waverly Heights, a premier senior living community in Gladwyne, PA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Business Office team. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations , investigating and resolving variances as needed. Prepare, record, and post monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP. Participate in the month-end close process , including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliation documentation. Record and apply deposits, cash receipts, and payments for multiple entities. Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports , including Excel-based schedules and analyses. Support the development of annual operating, labor, and capital budgets , as well as periodic forecasting. Assist with customer billing inquiries for multiple entities. Support audit and compliance activities , including preparation of requested documentation. Collaborate with other departments to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and support business office operations. Perform additional accounting and business office duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience in a multi-entity or service-based environment preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations). Experience with Sage Intacct, Paycom, FullCount, and/or QuickBooks is a plus. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) . High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
