Job Overview Accountant II – Starbucks, Carson City, USA Responsibilities Prepare and self‑review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with company guidelines and accounting principles. Reconcile accounts. Maintain and improve accounting structures and processes for the location, proposing and implementing upgrades to existing frameworks and techniques. Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting. Produce ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to aid commercial business unit operational, financial, and strategic decisions. Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and assignments as needed to support departmental goals. Collaborate with a dynamic, team‑oriented culture while operating in accordance with Starbucks’ core values. Qualifications 2+ years of professional accounting experience (journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting, and analysis). Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred). Experience using an ERP system and business intelligence/reporting tools (including Hyperion and Oracle) desired. CPA designation is an asset.
