Are you an experienced accounting professional seeking a challenging role at a forward-thinking CPA firm? Anchor Point Advisory Group ( a dynamic and innovative accounting firm, is looking for an Accountant to join our team. If you excel in client communication, daily back office accounting tasks in QuickBooks Online, detail oriented work, and accounts payable, we want to hear from you!


Position Overview:

As an Accountant at Anchor Point Advisory Group, you will manage financial records, perform reconciliations, prepare financial statements, support outsourced accounting services for business clients, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting schedules for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
  • Support tax teams by providing accurate financial data needed for tax return preparation and planning.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service.
  • Perform detailed analysis of client financials to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement or cost-saving strategies.
  • Assist with outsourced accounting engagements, including monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Oversee annual accounting cleanup projects, including correcting historical data and organizing records for year-end reporting.
  • Process and manage accounts payable workflows in , including invoice entry, approvals, payments, and vendor communication.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, offering clear communication, proactive insights, and timely financial updates to foster trust and long-term relationships.
  • Participate in continuing professional education and firm training initiatives to remain informed on industry best practices and technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years in an accounting position, with 2+ years in a client facing accounting position.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
