Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth. Provide general accounting support as part of the Accounting Team with responsibilities, accountability, and processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sycamores policies and procedures. Starting Pay Range: $25 - $31 per hour (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These are the essential job functions for this position. The essential functions of this job include but may not be limited to those listed in this job description. Ensures timely and accurate processing of payables, acquiring the proper approvals while ensuring the appropriate GL coding. Prepare journal entries to support month end close. Perform general ledger operations and prepare analysis of accounts. Prepare year end close schedules to support fiscal audit. Assist with preparation and coordination of the contract audit. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures in accordance with GAAP and Auditor-Controller handbook. Performs other related duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree OR at least 1-3 years of relevant experience required. Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
