SumBridge is hiring an Accountant to join our consulting team for a long-term project based role with our manufacturing client. This is a 3-5 month contract with possibility of extension. This role is onsite in the greater Puyallup area and offers competitive compensation and benefits including healthcare and PTO. Job Responsibilities: • Preparing and managing general ledger entries. • Reconciling financial statements. • Entering financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications. • Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries. • Recording monthly and annual processes. • Posting journal entries in the accounting system. • Tracking fixed asset ledger. • Preparing balance sheet and profit and loss statement. • Collaborating with various departments such as Sales, customers, and 3rd party vendors. • Assisting the team with accounting issues and queries. • Adhering to accounting standards and regulations. • Staying updated with the best practices in accounting. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field. • 3+ years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or a similar role in a Corporate Accounting department. • Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Ability to solve complex accounting problems and errors. • Proficiency in accounting software such as accounting ERP systems and MS Excel • Strong knowledge of financial bookkeeping procedures. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multi-task simultaneously. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools. • Illustrate the ability to meet deadlines. • Team player and ability to motivate the team members. • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
