Job Summary With a focus on growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Tax and Bookkeeping experienced Accountant to join our growing team, primarily focusing on tax return preparation and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will assist in various tax‑related tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in our financial operations. This position is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment, especially someone seeking long‑term growth and learning in the Accounting field. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation Assist in the preparation and filing of individual and business tax returns. Gather and organize financial documents for tax compliance. Perform calculations to determine tax liabilities and identify potential deductions. Support the team in responding to client inquiries regarding tax‑related matters. Maintain accurate records of tax‑related transactions and documentation. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as they relate to tax filings. Collaborate with team members on tax planning and compliance projects. Stay updated on tax regulations and changes that may impact clients. Bookkeeping/Payroll Manage bookkeeping for assigned clients and firm. Assist in financial report preparation and maintaining accurate financial records. Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash and expenses. Analyze accounts and prepare required journal entries for monthly and year‑end purposes. Knowledge of accrual accounting. Manage client payroll including assurance of compliance on monthly, quarterly, and annual payments and reporting. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Accounting; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum 2 year experience in accounting function or role. Basic understanding of accounting and tax principles and regulations. Hands‑on experience with payroll processing, general accounting functions, and tax preparation. Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation software. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting and tax regulations. Experience in similar role or industry. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Compensation The hourly pay for this position ranges depending on experience and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
