Accounting Advisory Senior Apply
Join a prestigious global consulting firm providing top-tier advisory services to their clients from start-ups to Fortune 500. We are looking for a Senior Consultant in their accounting advisory group. Big 4 experience is required!
This position will expose you to some of the most innovative and growing companies in the market as you work closely with them to bridge the gap in their accounting and finance departments. This will include technical accounting, GL accounting, financial reporting, system implementations, transaction support, and other dynamic projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients on accounting and financial matters, including process improvements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Research and interpret accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements to provide guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions. Prepare technical memos and position papers documenting accounting conclusions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, footnotes, MD&A disclosures) and financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements).
- Perform GL accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with accounting principles and internal policies.
- Support clients who are evaluating and executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, and debt and equity financings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact. Understand client needs and objectives and deliver solutions that add value and meet expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or relevant professional certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, past or current Big 4 experience required.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
