We are looking for an experienced Financial and Administrative Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within our organization north of Charlottesville, Virginia. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail and leadership abilities to manage financial reporting, audits, and reconciliation tasks. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, optimizing budgets, and supporting HR-related administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Coordinate and support financial statement audits, addressing any discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
• Develop and monitor budgets to align with organizational goals.
• Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Foster positive employee relations through effective HR administration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial and HR processes.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in conducting financial statement audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize financial resources.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and HR-related functions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
