We are looking for an Accounting & Finance Manager to support a portfolio of company clients alongside our Principals. This is a hands‑off, client‑facing role that at its core requires strong accounting fundamentals as well as the ability to produce high‑quality financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. In this role, you will serve as a key support partner and “right hand” to our Principals, helping execute and deliver work across multiple clients. You will take ownership of projects and deliverables, work directly with founders and leadership teams as needed, and help bring structure to fast‑moving businesses. This is an in‑office position, with some work at various company clients on occasion. This role offers meaningful growth potential over time, including the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, expand client‑facing involvement, and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities Support Principals in delivering client engagements across accounting, finance, and operational initiatives Build financial forecasts, budgets, cash flow models, and scenario analyses Lead month‑end close support and general ledger oversight Develop executive‑level reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI reporting Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to Principals and client leadership teams Participate in client meetings and maintain a professional, responsive client‑facing presence Support cross‑functional initiatives involving operations, sales, human resources, and IT Assist with fundraising and strategic projects, including investor models and diligence preparation Support financial systems implementations and process improvements (new GLs, reporting tools, automation) Coordinate with external partners as needed (CPAs, payroll providers, attorneys, IT vendors, etc.) Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff as needed Support transactional accounting work when needed based on client requirements Qualifications 5–7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including management or project leadership Strong accounting foundation with the ability to step into forecasting and financial analysis work Advanced Excel skills (modeling, reporting, analysis) Experience preparing reporting packages for executive teams preferred Experience with SMBs preferred; larger company experience acceptable with the right attitude Comfortable working in ambiguity and taking ownership without extensive direction Willing to roll up your sleeves and do detailed work when required Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional client‑facing presence Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, MBA, or similar credentials a plus, not required) ·A blend of professional service and corporate experience a plus If you are interested in a full‑time position that provides growth, leadership and variety in your career, please apply.This is an in‑office position.Our office is in downtown Northville, Michigan.
