Accounting AssistantThe Accounting Assistant will support month-end reconciliations, create purchase orders, and send them to vendors. This role involves reconciling vendor statements, receiving, processing invoices for accounts payable, and creating and sending out invoices for accounts receivable. The assistant will aid in payroll calculations and maintain HR records, process expense reports, and post entries into Sage 100. Additionally, they will assist in generating reports and financial statements for various departments and contribute to ad hoc projects as necessary.Responsibilities:Support month-end reconciliations.Create purchase orders and send them to vendors.Reconcile vendor statements.Receive and process invoices for accounts payable.Create and send out invoices for accounts receivable.Assist with payroll calculations and HR records.Process expense reports.Post entries into Sage 100.Assist in generating reports and financial statements for various departments.Contribute to ad hoc projects as necessary.Essential Skills:Basic Accounting Skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting internship.Intermediate Excel skills for spreadsheet manipulation.Experience with Sage or other ERP systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred but not required.Intermediate knowledge of Excel for pulling reports, generating, and manipulating data using formulas.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working cross-functionally and supporting multiple departments.Work Environment:The office environment is open and collaborative. The Accounting Assistant will interact with various departments and teams, including sales, service, warehouse, customers, and higher-level executives.
