Accounting Clerk Apply
This Position reports to the Director of Finance of the Gibby Group. Key Responsibilities Oversee and process vendor invoices to ensure timely payments. Approve, process, and submit payables for haulers. Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate AP records. Generate and issue weekly invoices to commodity customers. Process invoices for commodity plant customers based on contract terms. Handle monthly statement processing and provide customer support for invoicing inquiries. Review and update shipment data from haulers weekly. Liaise with haulers to guarantee timely and accurate submission of data. Use financial data to offer insights, identify areas for improvement, and guide business decisions. Engage in financial projects, offering accounting and analytical expertise. Offer recommendations for process enhancements and project improvements. Enhance Excel-based models to integrate data feeds and templates, aiming to streamline and elevate the efficiency of team data collection. Provide support to the Gibby Group Dispatch and Accounting teams. Provide phone support to the Gibby Group customers and vendors. Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum of 4 years data analysis experience and/or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong accounting/bookkeeping skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excel model building experience with Excel formulas is a must. Hands-on experience with AP and AR processes. Familiarity with Great Plains or other Microsoft accounting software systems is a plus. Detail-oriented with analytical skills. Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable/ Payable Clerk. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software. Proficiency in English and in MS Office. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Inventory Management Preferred Skills Excellent people management skills. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word). Experience with Great Plains accounting software. BS degree in Finance, or Accounting.
