ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee their financial operations and ensure the accuracy of their financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments. This role requires a proactive approach to managing the accounting team and collaborating with other departments to support the organization’s financial goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training development to enhance their skills.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Organize event planning related to financial reporting or team-building activities as needed.
- Maintain organized files for all financial documents and records.
- Handle calendar management for important deadlines related to financial reporting or audits.
- Provide front desk support when necessary, ensuring professional phone etiquette in all communications.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Proven experience in an accounting role with supervisory responsibilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes is essential.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration across teams.
- Experience in training development for staff members is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
