Job Purpose/Summary:To manage the development, interpretation, and reporting of financial information to support the attainment of company objectives. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial operations across multiple legal entities.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Develop and maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with accepted accounting standards.Maintain revenue and expense accounts and prepare confidential financial statements for management.Analyze revenue and expenses against budget, offering actionable recommendations to improve performance.Assist the General Manager in the development and support of both short- and long-term operational strategies.Perform or supervise monthly reconciliation of all asset, liability, and capital accounts.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking activities.Manage accounting for multiple legal entities.Monitor and report sales tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.Ensure strong internal controls are established and maintained.Hire, train, and manage accounting staff, including conducting performance reviews and handling disciplinary actions as needed.Oversee company insurance and property tax obligations.Manage payroll, ensuring compliance with tax laws and internal approval procedures.Technology & Software Proficiency:Microsoft Office: Advanced Excel skills requiredQuickBooks: RequiredSAP: Preferred but not requiredQualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business AdministrationExperience:5–10 years of experience managing an accounting departmentExperience in a manufacturing environment is preferredNecessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Advanced accounting expertise and familiarity with GAAPStrong analytical and organizational skillsExceptional written and oral communicationAbility to build and maintain positive internal and external relationshipsFlexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
