Accounting Manager Overland Park, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire | up to $80,000 annually LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client who is seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounting Manager to lead the daily operations of the accounting department. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing month?end close, managing accounts payable and receivable functions, and supporting audits and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes to support business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll support.
- Manage the month?end and year?end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high?performing team culture.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through process improvements and system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership/supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- ?Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
