The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to drive business decisions.Why join us?Opportunity to have a direct impact on a growing company’s financial foundationWork closely with executive leadership and influence business strategyBuild and improve accounting processes as the company scalesBe part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial team environmentJob DetailsKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & ReportingProvide comprehensive financial updates and insights to the CEO and senior leadership by analyzing key business metrics, trends, and performance indicatorsEvaluate financial data to support operational decisions and long-term company strategyDevelop and maintain financial reporting packages, dashboards, and performance analysesPartner with leadership to develop short- and long-term financial plansAccounting Operations & ControlsOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and financial reportingManage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reportingMaintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiencyEstablish and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and best practices as the company scalesEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory guidelinesBudgeting & Financial PlanningLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesEstablish financial and operational benchmarks to measure company performanceAnalyze budget-to-actual results and recommend corrective actions when neededSupport strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysisTreasury & Cash ManagementManage daily cash activities, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planningMonitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize working capitalOversee banking processes and ensure appropriate controls are in placeLeadership & Team DevelopmentProvide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting team membersFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementHelp build scalable accounting infrastructure to support future growthAudit & ComplianceCoordinate and manage external audits and reporting requirementsSupport tax preparation and compliance activitiesStay informed on accounting regulations and industry best practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience managing accounting operations in a growing organizationStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury functions, and cash managementProven experience improving accounting processes and implementing controlsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide business insightsExperience managing month-end close and multi-entity accounting processesExcellent communication skills with the ability to partner directly with executive leadershipPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldCPA or other professional accounting certification preferredPrior experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain industriesExperience working in a privately held, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environmentExperience leading or mentoring accounting staffExperience with accounting system implementations or process automationInterested in hearing more?
