Position: Accounting Manager- WaterCo

Supervisor: Director of Finance- EDG

Location: This position can be based from Rosemont, IL OR Lombard, IL - Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office

Responsibilities: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the month-end close, reporting, and audit processes for WaterCo. This includes management of financial accounting staff, coordination with the Culligan Corporate Controller’s group, review of financial statements, managing internal/external audit requests, and variance analysis to ensure that the needs of key business partners are met.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Facilitate the month-end close process, which includes:
  • Posting, documenting, and reviewing journal entries on a timely basis
  • Ensuring completion & adequate review of all account reconciliations
  • Assisting in supplemental reporting required by the Corporate & Dealer Channel Teams
  • Confirming intercompany balances are reconciled on a timely basis
  • Collaborating with key operations personnel throughout the organization
  • Preparation & distribution of monthly management reports and financial statements
  • Ensuring all necessary accruals are made in accordance with company policy & US GAAP
  • Oversight of the reconciliation of banking transactions
  • Assist in the forecasting and annual budget process
  • Ensure compliance with harmonized Dealer Channel and Corporate accounting policies & procedures as well as support the audit process
  • Manage Division Accounting Team and the Credit & Collections Team
  • Deliver on special projects as assigned by the Controllership and Financial Planning & Analysis Teams

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university and five years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a results-oriented culture
  • Proficiency in MS Office products – Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience navigating a large ERP environment
  • Strong attention to detail & Ability to communicate complex accounting to management & non-accounting teams
  • Ability to work cross functionally and act as a liaison with cost center managers across the North American Dealer Channel
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with IFS, Sage, Blackline, and HFM a plus
