Irrigation supply house seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee companies financial operations for 28 locations. This role requires leadership in managing accounting team, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws.

Responsibilities

• Handle multi-state sales tax.
• Oversee all aspects of accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and interpret complex financial reports, statements, and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational goals.
• Conduct cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and account analysis to maintain financial health.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; provide training on technical accounting standards.
• Ensure internal controls are effective; support audits including external auditing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial services projects such as payroll processing or regulatory compliance initiatives.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and budget management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and managing cross-functional projects involving financial analysis and reporting.
