About the Role
Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to apply your skills in a mission-driven environment? Florence Crittenton Services is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team and help support the financial health of our organization.
As Accounting Manager, you will lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial standards, and partner with leadership to provide meaningful financial insights. You’ll report directly to the CFO and play a key role in budgeting, grant tracking, and financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Manage core accounting functions (AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger)
- Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports
- Support grant accounting, invoicing, and compliance tracking
- Assist with budgeting and audit preparation
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
What You Bring
- 5+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and payroll systems
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
