LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a NYC based Non-Profit organization to fill a Temp‑to‑Perm Accounting Manager position. This role will be sitting in the organization's Brooklyn location and will require 2-3 days in office per week. We are searching for someone who has worked closely with a CFO on closings and rollover schedules. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes. Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Monitor and analyze financial results, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. Support cash flow management and treasury activities as needed. Assist in the annual budget and forecasting processes. Partner with business leaders to provide financial analysis and recommendations. Prepare management reports and presentations for leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Experience managing month‑end close and financial reporting processes. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Schedule 2‑3 days in office, 2‑3 days remote per week (rotating) 9 – 5 PM with occasional extended hours may be required during month‑end, quarter‑end, year‑end close, and audit periods.
