ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Essex Group Management, located in Rowley, MA, is a family-owned and operated business servicing the health care needs of seniors for more than 50 years.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations, with the ability to mentor staff and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a proactive approach to managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of Corporate Accounting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Conduct account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Lead the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Perform financial report writing and interpretation for internal stakeholders.
• Develop budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
• Mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices in accounting principles.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits to ensure compliance with auditing standards.

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Accounting
• Excellent and highly accurate accounting, analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge with the rules and regulations of the Center For Health Information and Analysis, Department of Public Welfare and the IRS.
• Proficiency in financial management concepts including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and cash flow analysis.
• Familiarity with financial software applications for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs, Sheets, OneDrive
• Excellent analytical skills for conducting financial analysis and account analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
