Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Manager for our manufacturing company in Asheboro, NC. This hands-on role will report directly to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations as well as key finance activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is committed to operational accuracy and ongoing process improvement.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage all aspects of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Coordinate tax filings in partnership with our external CPA firm, maintaining accurate records for compliance.
  • Administer 401(k) and benefits filings and support employee questions on benefits as needed.
  • Lead intercompany settlements and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Compile weekly flash reports and key financial metrics for management review.
  • Track and manage fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Support month-end close activities and journal entries.
  • Maintain inventory systems, monitor counts, track variances, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Participate in ongoing system and process improvements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for finance-related employee and management inquiries

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
